Authorities caution that these videos are false, misleading, and potentially fraudulent, aiming to deceive and harm the reputation of their leaders. The public is urged to be vigilant, to rely on official government channels, and to report suspicious content. Importantly, Lesotho currently lacks a dedicated cyber law to address such digital crimes, which highlights the challenges in prosecuting and preventing digital disinformation and misinformation.
